Example: Tũcũmbĩrĩ-inĩ twa kũrĩa gũtũũgaraire gũkuhĩ na njĩra, o na kũrĩa njĩra igomanĩire-rĩ, nĩkuo arũgamaga; (On the top of the heights along the road,); Namo maĩ macio makĩrũmanĩria kũnyihanyiha o nginya mweri wa ikũmi; na rĩrĩ, mũthenya wa mbere wa mweri o ro ũcio wa ikũmi tũcũmbĩrĩ twa irĩma tũgĩitĩka kuoneka. (The waters continued to diminish until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains appeared.)
