wĩmenyagĩrĩrei
- be on guard. Be on guard. An imperative form urging vigilance and caution against deception or harm; used in contexts warning against being led astray or deceived.
Example: Nake Jesu akĩrika kũmera atĩrĩrĩ, Wĩmenyagĩrĩrei mũtikahĩtithio nĩ mũndũ. (Jesus began to say to them, “See that no one deceives you. Eph 5:6; 2 Thes 2:3.); Wĩmenyagĩrĩrei, mwĩhũgage na mũhoyage: amu mũtiũĩ ihinda rĩrĩa rĩgakinya. (Mt 24:42; 25:13–15. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come.)
