  1. They, them. Third person plural independent pronoun (wao nĩ andũ aitũ = they are our people). Also used as possessive: 'their' (indo ciao wao = their things). Emphasizes the subject when used independently.

Example: "Tũrarugĩirwo matoke ũhikiini wao." — We were brought bananas this morning.
