- lack, want, poverty. Lack. The state of being without something needed or desired; absence of necessities; poverty or destitution.
Example: Wagi na ng’aragu nĩitũmĩte mamoce; (In want and emaciating hunger Jb 24:5–6.); Ũrĩa ũheaga ngĩa, we ndakagĩa na wagi, (Those who give to the poor have no lack, Prv 19:17; Sir 4:3–8.)
