1. given, entrusted. Given. Passive form meaning 'that which has been given' or 'entrusted'; describes something that has been bestowed or committed to someone.

Example: Watho ũrĩa ũheetwo ũrũmĩrĩre. Ndũbataire kũmenya maũndũ marĩa mahithe. (What is committed to you, pay heed to; what is hidden is not your concern.); Mũndũ mũkũrũ mũũgĩ nĩ mwega mũno, o na mũndũ ũheetwo gĩtĩĩo ũtaũkagĩrwo nĩ maũndũ na ũtaaranaga nĩ mwega. (How appropriate is wisdom in the aged, understanding and counsel in the venerable!)
