- high place, height. High place. An elevated location or position; a place of prominence or height. Used literally for physical elevation and metaphorically for positions of honor or importance.
Example: Andũ arĩa matetũũgĩragia amaigaga handũ hatũũgĩru, (1 Sm 2:7–8; Ps 113:7; Lk 1:52. He sets up the lowly on high,); Ngagũtugutania ũrutwo wĩra-inĩ waku, ũguthwo ũrutwo handũ haku hau hatũũgĩru. (I will thrust you from your office)
