thamĩrĩ
- conscience. Conscience. The inner sense of moral awareness and judgment that guides one's thoughts and actions; one's internal sense of right and wrong.
Example: Nĩamaheire rũrĩmĩ, maitho, matũ na thamiri. (Discernment, tongues, and eyes, ears, and a mind for thinking he gave them.); Harĩ ithuĩ atuĩkĩĩte wa gũthĩĩnagia thamiri ciitũ, (To us he is the censure of our thoughts;)
