- pride, arrogance. Pride, arrogance. An excessive sense of self-importance, superiority, or haughtiness; often used in negative moral contexts to describe sinful behavior.
Example: na ningĩ ndũrĩ rũtũrĩko, na ndũcaragia ũrĩa ũngĩĩguna guo mwene, o na ndũrĩ marakara, na ndwĩcokagia; (it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, 10:24, 33; Phil 2:4, 21; 1 Thes 5:15.); Jehova ekuuga ũũ: Atĩrĩrĩ, ũguo noguo nganina rũtũrĩko rũa Juda, o na rũtũrĩko rũrĩa rũnene rũa Jerusalemu.
