rĩatariĩ

v.

  1. was, became. Was. A past tense or stative form indicating a state of being or condition that existed; describes how something was or became.

Example: Thama 14.21; Josh 3.14-17. Iria rĩrĩa inene, we nĩaarĩgarũrire ũrĩa rĩatariĩ rĩgĩtuĩka thĩ niaru; (He changed the sea to dry land;); Nakuo kũraiha kwa na igũrũ gwa ikerubi rĩmwe kwarĩ mĩkono ikũmi; naguo ũguo noguo ikerubi rĩrĩa rĩngĩ rĩatariĩ. (the first cherub was ten cubits high, and so was the second.)
