mũthũku
- rotten, bad. Rotten. Morally corrupt, evil, or of poor quality; used to describe bad trees, unclean spirits, or wicked things.
Example: No taguo o mũtĩ ũrĩa mwega ũciaraga maciaro mega; naguo mũtĩ ũrĩa mũthũku ũciaraga maciaro moru. (Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit.); Mũtĩ ũrĩa mwega ndũngĩhota gũciara maciaro moru, kana mũtĩ ũrĩa mũthũku ũhote gũciara maciaro mega. (A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit.)
