Mũhibirania
- Hebrew person. A member of the Hebrew people, used as an ethnic or national designation in biblical contexts.
Example: Nake akĩmũhe ũhoro, akiuga ũũ: Atĩrĩrĩ, ndungata ĩrĩa yaku ya Mũhibirania watũrehereire ĩgũũkĩte kũrĩ niĩ ĩ’nyarare; (Then she told him the same story: “The Hebrew slave whom you brought us came to me to amuse himself at my expense.); Agĩgĩkahingũra, akĩona kaana, na atĩrĩ, gakenge kau gakĩrĩra. Nake agĩkaiguĩra tha, akiuga atĩrĩ, Kaana gaka nĩ ka Mũhibirania. (On opening it, she looked, and there was a baby boy crying! She was moved with pity for him and said, “It is one of the Hebrews’ children.”)
