mũhakũre
- eunuch. Eunuch. A man who has been castrated or is otherwise sexually incapacitated; in biblical contexts, often refers to palace officials or court servants, some of whom held positions of significant authority.
Example: Ningĩ kũraathimwo-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ mũrũme ũrĩa mũhakũre, (So also the eunuch whose hand wrought no misdeed,); Atĩrĩrĩ, mũndũ mũmendereku nyee, kana mũhakũre, ndakanatonye ũũngano-inĩ wa Jehova. (A man shall not marry his father’s wife, nor shall he dishonor his father’s bed. Membership in the Assembly.)
