mĩĩkĩre
- leavened, fermented. Leavened. Describes bread or dough that has been mixed with yeast or leaven; used in the phrase 'mĩgate ĩtarĩ mĩĩkĩre' (unleavened bread) referring to bread made without yeast.
Example: Na nĩ kũriganĩrũo maariganĩirũo nĩ mĩĩkĩre yake, (They forgot his deeds,); Naguo mũthenya ũrĩa wa mĩgate ĩtarĩ mĩĩkĩre ndawa ya kũimbia ũgĩkinya, nĩguo ũrĩa wa gũthĩnjwo Bathaka.
