- small woody herb, wild ancestor of pigeon-pea (Indigofera), of two kinds: 1. growing in swamps; 2. growing on dry ground; 2. twigs used as toothbrushes; sticks inserted in perforated ear-lobes of neophytes during initiation rites; roots make good whistle pipes; 3. riiciigiciigii n. cl. ii, as above
