maagĩte

v.

1. lack, be without. Lack. To be without something, to not have or possess something needed; used for physical deficiency (lacking strength), mental deficiency (lacking understanding), or moral deficiency (lacking faith).

Example: No andũ-rĩ, amu nĩ ibĩgĩ o ũguo, nĩ kwaga maagĩte meciria; (An empty head will gain understanding,); Ahib 12.12. Atĩrĩrĩ, andũ arĩa maagĩte hinya moko-rĩ, mekĩrei hinya, o na arĩa maregerete maru mũtũme mehande o wega. (Strengthen hands that are feeble,)
