kwaraga

1. shine, rise. Shine, rise. Used specifically of the sun rising or shining; appears in the common phrase 'gũkũ thĩ kwaraga riũa' (under the sun, lit. 'here on earth where the sun shines').

Example: Ningĩ gũkũ thĩ kwaraga riũa-rĩ, ngĩcoka ngĩona ũndũ wa tũhũ. (Again I saw this vanity under the sun:); Nĩkũrĩ ũũru nyonete gũkũ thĩ kwaraga riũa, naguo nĩũritũhagĩra andũ mũno. (There is another evil I have seen under the sun, and it weighs heavily upon humankind:)
