1. to release, to let go. To release or let go; to set free. Used for liberating prisoners, captives, or releasing someone from obligation or custody.

Example: Nĩoĩ atĩ marĩĩkia kũrekereria andũ aake moimagare (That though they themselves had agreed to the departure); Naake arĩĩkia kũrekereria Ayahudi arĩa maarĩ mĩgwate, agĩcooka bũrũriinĩ wake, na ndacookire gũkaanooka rĩngĩ bũrũriinĩ wa Ayahudi. (and he released to him the prisoners he had previously taken from the land of Judah. Thereupon he returned to his own land and never came into their territory again.)
