  1. to release, to let go. To release or let go; to set free. Used for liberating prisoners, captives, or releasing someone from obligation or custody.

Example: Nĩoĩ atĩ marĩĩkia kũrekereria andũ aake moimagare (That though they themselves had agreed to the departure); Naake arĩĩkia kũrekereria Ayahudi arĩa maarĩ mĩgwate, agĩcooka bũrũriinĩ wake, na ndacookire gũkaanooka rĩngĩ bũrũriinĩ wa Ayahudi.
