- dry, arid. Being in a state without moisture or water; dry land as opposed to water
Example: Ngai agĩgĩtua kũndũ kũu kũniaru Thĩ, namo maĩ macio monganĩte hamwe akĩmatua Maria; Ngai agĩkĩona atĩ ũguo nĩ wega. (GEN 1:10) — God called the dry land “earth,” and the basin of water he called “sea.” God saw that it was good.
