gacunjĩ
- small piece, portion. Small piece, portion. A small fragment or part of something, particularly used to refer to a small amount of food or other material that remains after the main portion has been used or consumed.
Example: Nako gacunjĩ o na karĩkũ karĩo kangĩkarĩo mũthenya wa ĩtatũ, igongona rĩu rĩgatuĩka ũndũ wĩ thahu; rĩtigetĩkĩrĩka; (If any of it is eaten on the third day, it will be a desecrated offering and not be accepted; Lv 7:15–18.); Mũrĩrĩage mũthenya ũrĩa mwarĩruta, o na rũciũ rũu rũngĩ; na hangĩgatigara gacunjĩ karĩo gakinyie mũthenya wa ĩtatũ, gacinwo na mwaki. (It must be eaten on the day of your sacrifice or on the following day. Whatever is left over until the third day shall be burned in fire.)
