athira
- pass, elapse. Pass or elapse. Used of time passing, ending, or being completed; also used in the sense of 'after' when following a time expression.
Example: Na yathira akĩĩra arutwo atĩrĩ, Nĩtũcokei Judea. (Then after this he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”); Mĩthenya ĩo ĩĩrĩ yathira akiuma kũu agĩthiĩ Galili. (The royal official believes (Jn 4:50). The natural life given his son is a sign of eternal life. After the two days, he left there for Galilee.)
